Real R&B Returns with Jazmine Sullivan’s Long Awaited EP Heaux Tales

As a Philly native, our music scene has been unmatched. We are the home of vocal powerhouses ranging from Phyllis Hyman, Patti LaBelle, Jill Scott, and Jazmine Sullivan to name a few. R&B lovers have prayed silently for some real music, and Jazmine Sullivan answered the call with-Heaux Tales. Her latest EP released via RCA Records.
Imagine sipping wine, (maybe Hennessy) and talking trash with your girls and someone is recording it. The 14-track project is a conceptual project about all the relationship real talk we have with our girls. Jazmine captures the raw emotions of lust, insecurities, betrayal, regrets, and honesty with her gospel-drenched vocals we fell in love with.
Jazmine leads us through Heaux Tales through real-life tales narrated by her friends. Guest appearances include some of our favorites, H.E.R., Anderson .Paak and Ari Lennox. Previously released songs from the project, “Lost One” and “Pick Up Your Feelings,” heightened the anticipation for the release earning spots on multiple “Best of 2020” lists including NPR, Los Angeles Times, Pitchfork, Noisey, and more.
