The 6th Annual Women In Media Conference held September 15-16, hosted in Philadelphia at the International House featured a phenomenal lineup of speakers and panelists. This year’s keynote speaker and Arete of Media Award recipient was the amazing Angela Yee ,of the Breakfast Club on Power 105.1FM.
In addition to the keynote speaker, the oh so flyy and powerhouse Kimberly S. Reed served as Mistress of Ceremonies. Judge Paula A. Patrick opened up with a word of prayer before the festivities got started, and a live performance by Philly’s own Suzann Christine. Commissioner Danielle P. Jeter, had a fireside chat with attendees.
The Women Going Beyond discussion featured Deejay Shelly, Nydia Han, Roxy Romeo, Jen Groover and Karen Vaughn.
Day 2, opened with a prayer and live performance featuring John W. Graves III. Lindy Li gave the State of Women Address to discuss where stand, and how we can grow as women. The chance Millennial Voices panel, featured young women changing the game of media today. Panelist included, Aunyéa Lachelle, Pax Tandon, Brielle Urssery and was moderated by Selena Hill.
The women in attendance for the 6th Annual Women in Media Conference were poured into, encouraged, and created connections to navigate this world of media with an amazing sisterhood.
